Growing up I was always active in youth and high school sports. As I got older I found myself in the same routine many other adults fall into as they seek an outlet for fitness. At the beginning of each year, I joined a gym with a resolution to “get fit” and ended up wandering around trying out different equipment with no real purpose or direction. I was bored and lost motivation within months. I would workout on and off throughout the year without making any real progress. I never could find a workout routine that kept me engaged…until I found CrossFit.
I first discovered CrossFit after being transferred to Arizona for work. I completed one intro session and realized I had never experienced a challenge quite like a CrossFit workout…I was hooked from day one. I love the concept of constantly varied, functional movements. The small class environment enables you to learn and also build friendships with other members through exercise. I’ve enjoyed being an athlete for the past 3.5 years and witnessing progress and change in myself and others. Now, I get to share my passion for the sport through coaching.
